Transformers can designed on customer specs, with highest quality materials. Available for different k-factors (K9, K13, K20), with any winding specification (D, Y, ZigZag) and also for high voltage insulations (up to 20kV).
Why aluminium transformers ?
Section Al = 1.6 * Section Cu (Cu has higher conductivity)
Density Cu = 3.3 * density of Al
The conductor in Al will be the twice as light as the Cu conductor
Half mass of conductor
Easier to be wounded in foils (reducing also skin effect)
Price of Al much lower than Cu
Less labor costs
